Martial Arts Studies, indexed by Scopus and the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), publishes the highest quality academic work on any aspect of martial arts studies. It aspires to stimulate and enrich the development of research and scholarship in martial arts studies by publishing the highest quality interdisciplinary work in the emergent field.
The journal is proudly open access and does not charge publication fees for authors. Moreover, work is published on a rolling basis, with new articles released once they are ready post-acceptance.
Issues of the journal are therefore populated incrementally, reducing publication delays and making sure new research reaches a wide audience as soon as possible and without any cost.
